Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition having low hardness and high transparency, by reacting a liquid isocyanate prepolymer derived from a speific isocyanate, with a polyether polyol compound having specific molecular weight, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by reacting (A) a liquid isocyanate prepolymer obtained by the reaction of an aliphatic isocyanate (e.g. hexamethylene diisocyanate) or an alicyclic isocyanate (e.g., 4,4'-dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate) with a polyol compound (e.g, diethylene glycol) in a dried nitrogen atmosphere at about 80°C, with (B) a polyether polyol having a molecular weight of 2,000W8,000 (e.g., the reaction product of ethylene oxide, etc. and ethylene glycol, etc.) or a polyol compound having a molecular weight of ≤1,000 (e.g. diethylene glycol), in the presence of a catalyst for the preparation of polyurethane (e.g. triethylamine).
