Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid hindrance to fluidization of a fluidized bed due to sticking of fluidizing medium, by feeding magnesium hydroxide to the fluidized bed of an incinerator, and thereby preventing formation of low-melting compounds contained in substances such as ash of heavy oil to be incinerated. CONSTITUTION:Liquid fuel 3 and combustion air 6 from a blower 4 are supplied to a combustion chamber 2 in the body 1 of an incinerator, and combustion gas produced therein is supplied to a fluidized bed 5. Waste matter introduced into the incinerator from an inlet port 8 is combusted in the fluidized bed 5 and a free board section 7, and the combustion gas is cooled by cooling air 12 while it is drawn by a blower 10, with uncombusted substances contained therein being captured by a dust collecting means 11. In feeding the waste matter from a storage tank 15 to the inlet port 8 by a feeding means 13, magnesium hydroxide is supplied from a storage tank 18 to the waste-matter feeding line by a steady feeding means 17 and a pressuring means 16 for mixing the same with the wate matter to be incinerated, and then mixture of waste matter and magnesium hydroxide is supplied into the fluidized bed 5.
