Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce a ground area, in a filter apparatus constituted by connecting plural filter tanks in parallel and supplying washing air and washing water together when said filter tanks are washed, by using treated water as the washing water to omit a storage tank of washing water.
CONSTITUTION: Raw water is distributed to suppy pipes 2A, 2B, 2C from a main pipe 2 and subjected to filtering treatment by filter materials 1A, 1B, 1C of filter tanks A, B, C and, thereafter, taken out from a main pipe 5 through discharg conduits 5A, 5B, 5C. When valves 3A, 4A are closed to stop the supply of the raw water, a blower 6 is operated and only a valve 8A is opened, washing air is supplied only to a lower part of the filter tank A and suspended substances adhered to the filter material 1A are released. At the same time, when a pump 10 is operated and only a valve 13A is opened, treated water in the main pipe 5 is supplied into the tank A and reversely flowed through the filter material 1A and flowed out into a trough 14A and discharged from a discharge pipe 15.
