Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:A 2,3-dihydro-2,3-dimethylbenzofuran-7-yl N-methyl- N-[N,N-bis (substituted methyl)aminosulfenyl] carbamate derivative of formular I (R1 and R2 are CH2CN or CH2COOR3; R3 is 1W6C alkyl or 3W6C cycloalkyl).
EXAMPLE: 2,3-Dihydro-2,2-dimethylbenzofuran-7-yl N-methyl-N-[N,N,-bis(cyanomethyl)aminosulfenyl] carbamate.
USE: An insecticide with low toxicity to warm-blooded animals and plants and effective in destroying injurious insects in the agricultural and forestry fields.
PROCESS: 2,3-Dihydro-2,2-dimethylbenzofuran-7-yl N-methylcarbamate of formula II is reacted with sulfur dichloride, and the resultant compound of formula III is then reacted with a compound of formula IV to give the compound of formula I.
