Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a continuous operation of a gas storage base by spraying the low-temperature liquefied gas extracted from the tank to a pressurized gas holder, which stores the evaporated gas generated from the tank, and by liquefying this evaporated gas without releasing out to the atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:The evaporated gas generated from an LNG tank 11, passing through a line 30, is boosted by a BOG compressor 13 and cooled by a cooler 14 to the normal temperature, and then introduced to a BOG cooler 12 through a line 31. Then the temperature of this gas is sunk to approx. -105 deg.C by a Joule-Thomson valve 15, and the gas is introduced to an evaporated gas holder 16 and stored there. In order to keep the pressure in this holder 16 constant, liquefied natural gas is sent through a line 32 and boosted by an LNG booster pump 17, and then the spray cooling is performed by a spray 25 in the holder 16.
