Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively absorb the low-frequency vibration of a drive system, by inserting a torsion bar between yokes at both the ends of a shaft and pinch-holding a friction material between the torsion bar and a tube secured on one yoke.
CONSTITUTION: A spline-coupled torsion bar 4 extends between yokes 2, 3. One end of a tube 11, into which the torsion bar 4 is inserted, is secured on the yoke 3. A cylindrical member 12 is secured on the other end of the tube 11. Openings 13, 14, 15 are provided in the peripheral part 12a of the cylindrical member 12 so that the openings extend in the axial direction. A hub 16, which is spline-coupled to the left-hand end of the torsion bar 4, is provided with protrusions 17, 18, 19 which are movably fitted in the openings 13, 14, 15. Friction members 22, 23 are pinch-held between the flange 16a of the hub 16 and the inside 12c of the cylindrical member 12 by a flat spring 24 and a side plate 21.
