Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to discard a recovered pulverulent material while preventing the pulverulent material adhered to the inside wall of a dust collector from leaking to the exterior when a collecting vessel is removed from the dust collector, by providing a removable shutter between the dust collector and the collecting vessel.
CONSTITUTION: A joint frame 14 is fixed to the lower end of a centrifugal dust collector 6, and a lever 15 for connecting the upper end of the collecting vessel 8 to the lower end of the dust collector 6 by pressure contact is provided at both side plates 14a, 14b of the frame 14 in such a manner that the lever 15 can be freely rotated with a shaft 16 as a center. When releasing the connection between the dust collector 6 and the collecting vessel 8 by rotating the lever 15 to a horizontal position, the shutter 20 is inserted along the lower edge of an arm 15a of the lever 15, the tip 20d of the shutter 20 is held in the condition of penetrating through an opening 14d of the frame 14, and a folded part 20d at the rear end of the shutter 20 is held in engagement with the lower end 14c of the frame 14. Accordingly, even if a developing agent adhered to the inside wall of the dust collector 6 falls off the wall, it cannot be scattered to the exterior of the device.
