Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain good transfer characteristic and to reduce electrostatic noise appeared on images and thereby to perform electromagnetic copying by forming images on the plain paper by the use of magnetic latent images which are made by magnetization of magnetic materials and magnetic particles. CONSTITUTION:A drum 15 having magnetic latent image carrier which consists of base material layer of nonmagnetic Al and the like, metallic magnetic thin layers 12 of Co-Ni-P alloys etc. and photoconductive layers 13 of zinc oxide, etc. holds insulating properties if it is not received with light emissions. Even when using magnetic toners which contain more or less increased magnetic powders, a conductivity of which increases and a magnetic detection of which is superior, the disturbance of images in transferring 24 is prevented and special insulating treatments for transferring papers 26 are not needed.
