Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a cold rolled steel plate of good surface quality by maintaining the surface of a preliminarily descaled austenite stainless steel plate at specific temps., and immersing the same in aqueous mixed solns. of ferric sulfate and a sulfuric acid within a specific concn. range. CONSTITUTION:The surface temp. of the mechanically preliminarily descaled austenite stainless steel plate is heated to 100-500 deg.C. This heated up steel plate is immersed in ferric sulfate alone or aqueous mixed solns. of ferric sulfate and a sulfuric acid. At this time, the aqueous solns. of which the composition ratios are within the range connecting the 4 points, P1(0, 32.5), P2(22.5, 15), P3(22.5, 2.5), P4(0, 2.5) successively with straight lines in the coordinates taking the concn. of the sulfuric acid at an (x) axis and the concn. of the ferric sulfate at a (y) axis are used. Thereby, the composition range of the pickling solns. are widened, pickling time is shortened and the degree of brightness is improved.
