PURPOSE:To inspect a built-in ROM rapidly and securely by reading the storage contents of the ROM and by comparing them with the storage contents of the master ROM of an ROM inspection device. CONSTITUTION:The storage contents of an ROM6 built in a control circuit 1 are read out, address by address, through a CPU4, etc., and applied to an ROM inspection device 11. Then, a CPU15 makes a parity check, etc., on the basis of the storage contents of corresponding addresses read out of a master ROM17, by processing which corresponds to a program in a control ROM16 to discriminate the propriety of input information, thereby displaying that via LEDs 21 and 22, etc. Similarly, the propriety of the storage contents of the ROM6 is discriminated, address by address, to inspect the ROM built in the controller rapidly and securely.
