Abstract

PURPOSE:To reproduce a picture with sample structure, easy work, and high brightness and contrast by providing three primary colors phosphor stripes at a positional phase of about 120 deg. mutually and a metal-back film which reflects the emission of the phosphor to the vacuum space. CONSTITUTION:Three primary colors (blue, green, and red) phosphor stripes 10-12 are provided at a positional phase of about 120 deg. in a fixed order mutually and a fully thick metal-back film 21 which reflects the emission of the phosphor to the vacuum space is provided at the rear. A guard band 22 consisting of black nonluminous materials and an index stripe 24 which emits invisible light is provided between the red and blue phosphor stripes. This can obtain a high brightness and constrast thin type index system color cathode-ray tube.
