Abstract

PURPOSE:To recover ink mist generated during the printing operation without dripping the ink mist, by arranging on the front of a recording head an ink mist absorbing member and at an end to which the recording head is moved an ink mist recovering roller. CONSTITUTION:The ink mist that has been generated during the printing operation is absorbed by the ink mist absorbing member 10 provided on the front of the recording head 1. When the recording head 1 is moved to the left margin position of a platen 2, the ink mist absorbing member 10 becomes in contact with a roller body 12 of the ink mist recovering roller so that the ink mist in the absorbing material 10 is recovered onto the roller body 12. The ink mist of the roller body 12 is recovered into an ink feeding system via an ink absorbing material 15 attached to the surface of a spring plate 14.
