Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve safety and economize by arranging a number of grooved portions on the front, rear and both the sides of a grinder disk having diamond chips fixed in a circular shape on its outer circumference. CONSTITUTION:A whestone chips layer of diamond 2 is fixed in a shape of continuous circle on an outer circumference of a base plate 1 similar to Kinbari type. Grooves 3,3'' are formed on a front side face of the base plate 1 and grooves 3', 3''' are formed on the rear side face and their bottoms reach over the center line 4 and a depth 1 is decided longer than 1/2 of the thickness of the layer. As a result, the layer is fixed to the base plate along its whole circumference and so that any accident of broken such as of a segment type is not occurred. With these grooves, it can be said that a new cutting blade of its width corresponding to a depth 1 of the grooves is added, obtaining an improved cutability and economy corresponding to the volume of the grooves.
