Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to print on a single slip sheet without removing a continuous sheet in a printer having the first sheet feeder for a continuous sheet and the second sheet feeder for a single slip sheet by disengaging the rotation of a motor from the first feeder via a clutch when the single slip sheet is used. CONSTITUTION:In case that a single slip sheet 8 is interrupted when a continuous sheet 7 is disposed in the printing state via a pin tractor 9 and drawing rollers 12, 13, a lever 27 is shifted down. The roller 13 becomes reversible by the operations of a clutch and a gear mounted on the shaft 13a of the roller 13, the sheet 7 is reversely fed to the side of the tractor 9, and is stopped when passing a sheet detector 11. Accordingly, the continuous sheet is held in the state of mounting on the tractor 9. When the lever is further shifted down, the rollers 12 and 13 are isolated, a single slip guide plate 22 is disposed at the upper side, and the single slip sheet can be inserted.
