Abstract

PURPOSE:To extend the communication distance between mobile stations, by constituting a relay device through the connection of a receiver and a transmitter for relay to a leakage coaxial cable installed in a tunnel. CONSTITUTION:Tracks 2 and 3 are respectively provided in facing a wall at both sides of a tunnel 1 and leakage coaxial cables 5 and 6 are respectively installed along the tracks. A receiver 9 for relay receiving an operating frequency f1 of the track 2 via a distributor 8 and a transmitter 10 for relay transmitting an operating frequency f2 of the track 3 are connected to the cable 5. A receiver 13 for relay and f2 reception and a transmitter 14 for relay and a transmitter 14 for relay and f1 transmission are connected to the cable 6 via a distributor 12. The receivers 9 and 13 are connected to the transmitters 14 and 10 respectively to constitute a relay eequipment. The communication from a mobile station 16 to a mobile staiton 17 of the track 2 can be made by inputting f1 electromagnetic waves transmitted from the mobile station 16 to the receiver 9 through the cable 5, radiating the demodulated signal to the mobile station 17 through the cable 6 from the transmitter 14, and receiving the call of the mobile station 16 to the mobile station 17.
