Abstract

PURPOSE:To mount a knob for operation of a variable resistor automatically and smoothly to a shaft by a holder, which holds a part to be mounted to the shaft and can be moved vertically, and a guide arm, which is freely pulled out and in at the upper section of the part. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 3 is lifted by means of a cylinder 4 under a condition that a knob 2 is held to the concave section of a holder 5. Connection with a connecting section 21 is released because a lever 22 is contacted with a projecting piece 23 and turned and a cam 18 is also rotated simultaneously. A movable base 10 is elevated to the holder 5 by means of a spring 24, the roller 13 of the guide arm 7 is lifted along a fixed cam 14, the nose of the arm 7 is projected to the upper section of the knob 2, and the shaft 1 is guided and fitted to the shaft inserting hole of the knob 2. When the shaft is further elevated, a stopper arm 15 is contacted with a frame 16, and only the holder 5 is lifted continuously while the nose section of the arm 7 is retreated sidewise.
