Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the dielectric strength of the winding end by insulating a conductor of at least one turn with an insulating paper limited in the specific inductive capacity on the inner and outer diameter sides of a plurality of coils exposed to encroaching surge at the end of the winding. CONSTITUTION:The drawing shows a winding of an oil-filled statronary induction electical appliance. A conductor 62 coated with an insulating material 61 is wound to form a plate-shape coil 63 a plurality of which are piled radially. A conductor 62 of at least one turn (4 turns in the drawing) on the inner and outer diameter side of the coils 63 located on the line end side of the winding is insulated with a special insulating paper 64 limited in the specific inductive capacity and immersed in an insulating oil 65. This insulating paper uses a laminated paper or a synthetic paper, for example. The specific inductive capacity is about 2.3, and hence, the electric field of the insulating oil can be lowered at the end of the winding thereby enabling the shortening of the distance from the main insulation to other windings or tanks or the like.
