CONSTITUTION:A distorition measuring/distortion adding device 3 is incorporated in a remote station 4 connected to an exchange station 1 through a multiplex line 2. Also, a subscriber 10 is stored in the remote station 4 through subscriber's lines 5, 6, .... In this state, when a command of the exchange station 1 is transmitted to the remote station 4 through the line 2, the remote station starts the device 3 and automatically executes a distortion test of the subscriber's lines 5, 6, .... In this way, no maintenance is required in the remote station.
