Then, a switch 34 is closed to decide whether an ignition timing regulating specific signal (IS signal) is impressed or not, and after the decision of the IS signal is obtained, whether the present rotational speed N is smaller than the set value No or not is decided. When N<No, whether the present car speed V is smaller than the set value Vo or not is subsequently decided. When V>=V0,the computing step proceeds to the optimum ignition timing. Meanwhile, when V<Vo, an ignition mechanism 58 is controlled to equalize the ignition timing with a fixed advance value previously fixed.
