Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a starting torque and prevent wear of a dynamic pressure type plain bearing by disposing a thrust rolling bearing in series with a journal type dynamic pressure slotted bearing which is supplied with a self pressure regulation mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A rotary member 1 has a column-like shaft bearing face 11 at one end. The shaft bearing face 11 consists of a circumferential bearing face 12, in a partial area of which spiral slots 14 are made, and a thrust bearing face 13 at the end. A fitting step 15 is made on the circumferential face of the rotary member 1 and one race 51 of a rolling bearing 5 is firmly attached onto the fitting step 15. A sleeve 2 which supports the rotary member 1 has a support bearing face 21 which is opposed to the shaft bearing face 11 to interact. Both of the bearing faces build up a plain bearing of dynamic pressure. A spherical face seat 54 of the rolling bearing 5, the other race 52 and rolling balls 53 are formed on a housing step 44.
