Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the capacity of coil for the subject rotor by a method wherein, when the spool on which a superconductive field coil has been wound is fixed in a groove using a wedge, a chamfering work is performed on the edge of a spool opposing to the wedge, and an insulating distance is incrased. CONSTITUTION:When the spool 22 is placed and fixed in the groove of a coil mounting shaft 2 using a wedge 19 after the superconductive field coil 3 has been wound around a spool 22, a chamfering work is performed on the edge section 22a of the surface opposing to the wedge 19 of the spool 22. Thus, the insulating distance can be increased without increasing the thickness of an insulating filling stuff 21, and the coil capacity can also be increased.
