Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify a measuring method and to improve precision, by constituting a device such that an object is irradiated with light utilizing a photographing device for obtaining the pattern information of the object, and the reflecting light is collected by a photographing means having an optical axis with a given angle to the optical axis of the photographing device. CONSTITUTION:A television camera 2, acting as a photographing device for obtaining pattern information of an object, and a telvevision camera 3, working as a photographing means for obtaining distance information, are secured to a base bed 1 at a given arrangement relation. After the pattern information of the object, obtained by the television camera 2, is sent to a computer via a control unit 6, the object is irradiated with spot light from a power source 4 through movement of a mirror 5 within an optical axis. Reflection light, produced at a time when the object is located at a position A, or B and C, is formed as a spot image on a center point a' of the photographing surface of the television camera 3 or points b' and c' at both sides, and the current deviating distances from the center to the opposite sides of the spot image corresponding to a distance from the position A of the object.
