Abstract

PURPOSE:To otain a device which is not caught by eyes and is out of danger of troubles and malfunctions, by arrnging plural linear or band-shaped conductors around the outside circumference of a water tank to make detecting electrodes and detecting the water level on a basis of the change of the electrostatic capacity between two proper detecting electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Plual linear or band-shaped conductors are arranged on a part of the outside circumference of a water tank or around the outside circumference of the water tank consisting essentially of electric insulating materials to make detecting electrode. When the water level reaches the level of an electrode 22 around the outside circumference of the water tank 1, an electrostatic capacity C12 between electrodes 21 and 22 becomes larger than that for the water level under the level of the electrode 22, and this change of the electrostatic capacity is discriminated by an electrnic circuit part of a detector part 3. When the electrostatic capacity larger than a constant quantity is generated in the input side of an amplifying circuit 4, self-oscillation is caused, and a relay circuit 7 is driven by the output obtained by detecting this oscillation output by a detecting circuit 6, thus issuing an alarm with a buzzer, a lamp, or the like.
