Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a difluoroethene derivative useful as an intermediate, etc. for insecticides from inexpensive industrially easily available raw materials efficiently, by reacting a difluoromethylphosphonic acid derivative with a carbonyl compound.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formulaI(R3 is lower alkyl of aryl) is reacted with a compound of formula II (R1 and R2 are H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl or cycloalkyl; R1 and R2 with carbon atoms to which they are linked form cycloalkylidene or cycloalkenylidene) in a solvent, preferably in the presence of a base, e.g. an alkali matellic amide, to give a compound of formula III. The compound of formulaIcan be easily synthesized by reacting an inexpensive easily available sodium salt of phosphorous diester with chlorodifluoromethane. The compound of formula II is also an industrially easily avilable compound.
