Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce wind loss by using an anisotropic steel plate for a stator core wherein an unequal gap meeting the anisotropy is formed. CONSTITUTION:A stator core 1 is formed by a section 1A showing remarkable anisotropy in the circumference direction and a section 1B showing remarkable anisotropy in the radius direction. A gap 5 is composed of unequal constitution meeting permeance in a magnetic circuit. In this way, unlike a simple unequal gap, the gap has a good magnetic balance and furthermore, wind loss is reduced by widening the gap and pressure loss for axial flow is also reduced and cooling effect is improved.
