Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a granular agricultural chemical, capable of exhibiting controlling effects on blights and injurious insects, reducing the phytotoxicity and toxicity, and useful for treating seedling raising boxes, etc., by mixing an oily agricultural chemical with a reactive curable epoxy compound in a specific proportion and a solid carrier for the agricultural chemical, granulating the resulant mixture, and curing the granulated mixture.
CONSTITUTION: An oily agricultural chemical (a liquid agricultural chemical slightly soluble in water or a solution of an agricultural chemical dissolved in a nonvolatile organic solvent slightly soluble in water, e.g. "Diazinon", "Kayaphos" or "Disyston") in an amount of 5pts.wt. is mixed with 3W0.01pt.wt., preferably 2.2W0.03pts.wt., reactive curable epoxy compound, e.g. bisphenol A/ epichlorohydrin, and a curing agent and a solid carrier for an agricultural chemical, and the resultant mixture is then granulated by the coating, adsorbing methods, etc. and cured to give the aimed granular agricultural chemical. The amount of the curing agent is 2W0.05pts.wt. based on the epoxy compound. The granular agricultural chemical is suitable for using in a place, e.g. a seedling raising box, where the phytotoxicity is easily caused.
