Abstract

PURPOSE:To separately set a speed change point respectively in operation of upshift and downshift, by such constitution that throttle and detent pressures are applied to separate pressure receiving surfaces. CONSTITUTION:When a shift lever is placed in a position D, there are guided governor pressure to a port 142r and throttle pressure to a port 142k respectively. If car speed is increased, the governor pressure overcomes the throttle pressure to set a spool 142 to an upper position and obtain the second speed shift state. At this time, the port 142k supplied with the throttle pressure is shut off by the spool 142, while a port 142h supplied with the detent pressure is communicated to a port 142i. In consequence, if an accelerator pedal is strongly depressed, the detent pressure is applied to a land 142a through the port 142i to set the spool 142 to the lower position and perform kick down operation to the first speed shift state.
