Abstract

PURPOSE:To give plural pieces of information on the energy of a battery, by giving the first piece of information when the energy of the battery memorized at every starting tends to decrease and by giving the second piece of information when the energy of the battery has gone out of a set normal energy region. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 9 judges the started state of an automobile in terms of a starting signal from an ignition switch 7. At that time, digital signals produced by an A/D converter 6 from signals from an outside air temperature sensor 1, a cooling water temperature sensor 2, a liquid level sensor 3 and a peak value detection circuit 4 are applied to the microcomputer 9, which performs various calculations based on the input signals. When the energy of a battery 5 has shown a tendency to decrease at least three times continually, the microcomputer 9 sends out a sound signal to a sound synthesizer 11 which synthesizes a sound signal for a loudspeaker 12 to emit a warning sound. When the energy of the battery 5 has greatly decreased and gone out of a normal energy region, the microcomputer 9 sends out another sound signal to the sound synthesizer 11 to emit a different warning sound from the loud-speaker 12.
