Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a local damage of the parts and produce a stable output of the engine by a method wherein there is provided a sleeve enclosing a solid cathode with spaced apart propulsions to be feedably arranged.
CONSTITUTION: There is provided a sleeve 3 enclosing the outer circumference of the solid cathode with a proper annular spacing 2 therebetween exept a specified length of the solid cathode 1 at its leading end side and further an anode 4 enclosing both the cathode 1 and the sleeve 3 with a specified spaced apart relation therewith throug an insulator material 5. The insulator 5 is provided with a propulsion feeding passage 6 to cause the propulsions 7 to be fed and at the same time the propulsions 7 are fed into a space 2 between the cathode 1 and the sleeve 3. Discharging current is drawn into a clearance between said solid cathode 1 and the sleeve 3 and the dischrging may be eliminated with a proper distance, so that the discharging current is dispersed in a longitudinal direction of the cathode 1.
