Abstract
PURPOSE:To elevate the impact resistance of a thin quartz oscillator sealed between the cases, by providing the connection part of the holding frame which has been newly installed, and the sealing frame, around the tip part of the tuning fork arm. CONSTITUTION:The connection parts 27, 27 of the sealing frame 24 and the holding frames 28, 29 which have been newly installed are provided around the tip parts 25, 26 of the arm of the quartz oscillating piece 23. The quartz oscillator is formed by sealing said quartz oscillating piece 23 provided with the sealing frame, by the upper and lower cases 11, 12. And, the holding frames 28, 29 are made narrow in width, and also the mass of the connection part 30 of the holding frames and the oscillating piece 23 is set comparatively large, and therefore, when an impact is given, at first the holding frames 28, 29 are bent, and the connection part 30 comes into collision with the inside wall of the case 12. Accordingly, since the tips 25, 26 of the tuning fork arm do not collide with the inside wall surface of the case, they are not damaged.
