Abstract

PURPOSE: To contrive energy saving, by carrying a heat transfer medium heated by waste gas discharged from an industrial furnace to a heat exchanger for heating heavy oil by the heat recovered by the heat exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: A by-pass duct having a heating means 7 and a suction fan 8 is connected to a waste-gas duct extended between a heat exchanger 3 and an exhaust fan 1. By means of a circulating pump 9, a heat transfer medium is carried to the heating means 7 for heating the heat transfer medium. The heat transfer medium thus heated is carried via a heat exchanger 10 and stored in a heat transfer medium storing tank 11. On the other hand, heavy crude oil is carried to the heat exchanger 10 by a fuel pump 12. After the heavy crude is heated by the heat exchanger 10, it is carried to an industrial burner 5. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to recover the heat possessed by waste gas, so that energy saving can be accomplished effectively.
