Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive keytop with a diverse indication excellent in durability by insert molding the indication following cutting of a film with a cutting punch according thereto. CONSTITUTION:Mobile molds 1 and 5 are arranged on both sides of a fixed mold 3 and a film 7 having indication 8 of characters or the like printed on the back thereof is positioned between the molds 3 and 5. With a core 2 opposed to a recess 4, a cutting punch 6 is arranged facing a through hole 9 through indication 8. With mobile molds 1 and 5 inserted into the fixed mold 3, the cutting punch 6 cuts the film 7 in such a manner as to position the indication on the top of the concave section 4. Under such a condition, the core 2, the concave section 4 and the head of the cutting punch 6 form a cavity for formation of a keytop. Injection of a melted molding material 10 into a cavity provides a keytop on which indication 8 is insert molded.
