Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable performing stable sludge digestion by a method wherein an auxibiary combustion apparatus using a digestion gas as a fuel is provided to a waste heat boiler or an exhaust gas boiler and operated when a gas engine is is stopped.
CONSTITUTION: In stopping a gas engine 5, a digestion gas supplied from a digestion tank 1 or a gas tank 2 through a solenoid valve 11 is combusted in an auxiliary combustion apparatus 2 mounted to the boiler 6. Thereforer, even if the gas engine 5 is stopped by any cause, the heating of a sludge can be continued by heat energy of a digestion gas combusted by the auxiliary combustion apparatus.
