Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove the combustion exhaust gas rapidly outside the kitchen room by a method wherein a cooking range is provided in a part of the kitchen projected from the outside wall of a building, an air-inlet port is fitted to one side wall, while a ventilation fan is fitted to the other, and a vertical wall is provided on a boundary.

CONSTITUTION: A part of the kitchen 3 is projected from the outside wall 4 of the building and in the floor part thereof the range 5 is provided, while the vertical wall 8 is provided on the boundary between the projected part 6 and the main part 7 of the kitchen. Moreover, in one side wall of the projected part 6 is fitted the air- inlet port 10 and on the other side wall 11 is fitted the ventilation fan 12, both of which are fitted within the height of fitting of the vertical wall 8. When the ventilation fan 12 is operated on cooking, fresh air is taken in from the air-inlet port 10 and exhausted outside the kitchen through the fan 12 together with the combustion exhaust gas of the range 5, whereby smoke and smell caused by cooking is not left in the kitchen 3. On the occasion, even when the combustion exhaust gas is much, it does not flow in the main part 7 of the kitchen by the presence of the vertical wall 8 and thus the air in the main part 7 of the kitchen can be maintained in a clean state.
