Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an assorting device which can smoothly assort at a high speed articles which are being sucessively fed by a conveyor by constituting the same such that a pressing force is applied to an article by means of a rotational pressing member.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary shaft 2 is supported for rotation on a bearing portion 23 of fixed shaft 21 and driven by a motor 1 to rotate in the direction of an arrow B. Arms 31 and 33 are rotated by rotation of the shaft 2. As a result, bearing portions 241, 242 at free ends of the arms 31, 33 move along a path of a circle with the center thereof coincident with the center of the shaft 2. Thus, sprocket wheels 271, 272 are caused to travel round sprocket wheels 221, 222 without rotating around their own axes whereupon pusher plates 41, 43 are also moved. Accordingly, if the pusher plates are disposed to be in parallel with side faces of articles 111, 112, they will be face contacted with side faces of articles in any position and hence they can apply its pressing force in a stabilized condition.
