Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide easy warming and prevent abrupt variation in temperature by feeding drainage of a deaerator recirculation pump in a line running from a high pressure feed water heater to a deaerator at a low load or starting time.
CONSTITUTION: For warming, a flow of drainage of a deaerator recirculation pump 10 runs through a line 7 from a high pressure feed water heater 1 to a deaerator 4 to purge hot water heated by the deaerator 4. As the line 7 and a level regulation valve 2 are heated up to a temperature equal to that of hot water inside the deaerator 4, a flow of drainage from the high pressure feed water heater 1 into the deaerator 4 causes no abrupt variation in temperature. This may be due to the fact that while passing through the high pressure feed water heater 1 via a feed water booster pump 9 and a feed water pump 11, the drainage from the deaerator 4 is heat-exchanged with steam from a turbine extraction pipe E inside the high pressure feed water heater 1 up to a temperature with no serious difference from an inlet feed water temperature, that is inside the deaerator 4.
