Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition for the preparation of a translucent film having increased haze value and low decomposition odor of peroxides, by adding a basic inorganic compound to a polypropylene composition containing organic peroxides. CONSTITUTION:A composition composed of (A) at least one polymer selected from a crystalline polypropylene, a crystalline propylene-ethylene block copolymer and a crystalline propylene-alpha-olefin (other than propylene) copolymer, (B) at least one optional polymer component selected from polyethylene and a copolymer of ethylene and an alpha-olefin (other than ethylene) and/or a radically polymerizable polar unsaturated compound, (C) an organic peroxide having a decomposition temperature of about >=60 deg.C corresponding to the half-life of 10hr, and (D) a basic inorganic compound of the IIa group metal of the periodic table. The amounts of the (C) and (D) components are 0.001-1.0 and 0.01-2pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the (A) or (A) and (B) components.
