Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the "bias of originals" to be automatically corrected without requiring skilled adjustment by deviating a printing cylinder in a movable direction by the detecting signal of the "bias of original" detecting means provided within the original circulating path.
CONSTITUTION: The lap of an original and photosensitive paper being fed from an automatic paper feeder 20 into a copying machine body 1 is subjected to exposure action and undergoes copying while it is held between a rotating endless belt 9 and a printing cylinder 3 and is moving on the outside peripheral surface of the cylinder 3. The original separated from the photosensitive paper enters the repetitive circulating path formed by an endless belt 44 in the case of repetitive copying and is further sent toward the automatic feeder 20. Original detecting switches 58, 59 are disposed to the repetitive circulating path. When the bias of the original is detected by the operation of these detecting switches 58, 59, solenoids 128, 129 are energized and by the driving forces thereof, the end positions of the printing cylinder 3 are automatically displaced.
