Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure a smooth operation without stopping the secondary scanning and with the transmission variance kept at a fixed level or less, by setting previously N units of secondary scanning velocities and then selecting successively one of the set velocities according to the stored bit number of the buffer memoy. CONSTITUTION:Reference levels M1 and M2 are set at buffer memory 9, and the stored bit number of memory 9 is detected through memory stored bit number detecting circuit 11 at the time point when the secondary scanning of the preceding line is over. And the memory stored bit number signal is sent to secondary scanning control circuit 12. The scheduled secondary scanning velocity pattern is stored in circuit 12, and secondary scanning velocity V1 of the preceding line is maintained as it is with the bit number M of M1<=M<=M2. Then the velocity is increased more than V1 with O<M<M1; while the velocity slower than V1 is selected with M2< M respectively. Thus the driving control is given to secondary scanning motor 13.
