Abstract
PURPOSE: To control an opening degree of an air bleed device with temperature of air in a compressor, by applying a coil spring made of shape memory alloy to a driving part of the air bleed device.
CONSTITUTION: Bleed air flows an air bleed device from its inlet 8 to pass through a throttling flow passage 18 from its flow passage 14 and into its flow passage 15, and then is guided to a prescribed place. A movable partition plate 11 vertically moves along a side wall 17a in the air bleed device. A lower side 11a of the partition plate is coupled to the upper end of a driving coil 10 consisting of shape memory alloy. Though the displacement of the driving coil shows a certain value at the beginning, when temperature of the driving coil reaches Tm°C a constant value is shown with the displacement of smaller amount than at the beginning. An opening degree of the air bleed device is changed in accordance with the displacement of the driving coil.
