Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit the removal of harmful components contained in dust-rich waste gas by passing the waste gas through a large number of parallelized and channeled spaces opening at both ends inside an adsorbent-packed layer.
CONSTITUTION: Cone-shaped long members 6 are aligned at equal intervals 8 and in parallel inside a packed layer 1 filled with an adsorbent, e.g., activated carbon, etc. The, staggered pipes groups of the same material 6 are arranged below the cone-shaped long members 6. Then, all adsorbent is drawn out of the lower part of the packed layer 1 and then moved downwards to form channeled spaces 5. When a gas is let in the front net 11 of such a packed layer 1, it flows into the spaces 5 in an incoming gas low 14 and goes out from the opening of the rear net 12 side in an outgoing gas flow 15. Dust present in the gas goes straightforwards with the gas without deposition.
