Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the removal of harmful components contained in dust-rich waste gas by passing the waste gas through a large number of parallelized and channeled spaces opening at both ends inside an adsorbent-packed layer.
CONSTITUTION: Cone-shaped long members 6 are aligned at equal intervals 8 and in parallel inside a packed layer 1 filled with an adsorbent, e.g., activated carbon, etc. The, staggered pipes groups of the same material 6 are arranged below the cone-shaped long members 6. Then, all adsorbent is drawn out of the lower part of the packed layer 1 and then moved downwards to form channeled spaces 5. When a gas is let in the front net 11 of such a packed layer 1, it flows into the spaces 5 in an incoming gas low 14 and goes out from the opening of the rear net 12 side in an outgoing gas flow 15.
