Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform light distribution, by forming the light incident end part flatly and by arranging respective optical fibers so that the angle made by their centers and the light incident end face is changed gradually. CONSTITUTION:The light incident end part of light guide 1 which is obtained by causing many optical fibers 2 to adhere to one another in parallel and bundling them into the section round form is inserted to inside light guide insertion hole 21 of bundling material 20 where one end part has the round section and the other end part has the section deformed from the round form to the eliptic, flat form continuously. The sectional area of light guide insertion hole 21 is constant in the axial direction, and the end face of light guide 1 is polished smoothly. The production method of this light guide device is recorded.
