Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an adhesive tape which is excellent in writability and tear resistance by hands and particularly suitable for drawing, by coating and laminating a tackifier and an adhesive on a sheet composed of a mixture of PP and methylpentene polymer and stretching the sheet under a specified condition.
CONSTITUTION: One side of a sheet formed of a mixture of 90W55wt% PP and 10W45wt% methylpentene polymer is coated with a tackifier (e.g. styrene-butadiene copolymer) and then with an adhesive (e.g., a hot-melt type synthetic rubber- based adhesive) to obtain a laminated sheet. Then, the laminated sheet thus obtained is stretched in a temperature range of lower than the melting point of PP and higher than 155°C and under conditions of λM≥2, λT≥2, λT≥λM, 56≥λT.λM≥4 (where λM is stretching ratio in a vertical direction and λT is stretching ratio in a lateral direction) to obtain an adhesive tape of an average roughness of 1.0W4.5μ (measured at ten points according to JISB-0601). Or, after stretching the sheet prior to lamination under said stretching condition in advance, a tackifier and an adhesive are coated on the sheet to obtain the titled tape mentioned.
