Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain stable thermal radiation over all combustion zone without deteriorating combustion state by providing a red-hot matter above an inclined burner at a greater angle of inclination.
CONSTITUTION: A red-hot matter 13 composed of a lath net is provided in a combustion chamber 4 at an inclination angle of θ2, which is grater than the inclination angle θ1 of a burner 2. If the air quantity supplied to a burner 2 through an air duct 8 is increased in this structure, evaporating quantity of kerosene from an evaporation wick 5 also increases and burns strongly. Flame and high temperature exhaust gas run in the direction with the nearly same angle as the inclination angle θ1 of the burner 2, heats the upper part of the red-hot matter 13 installed in the combustion chamber 4 and forms a heated area K. If supply air quantity decreased, the flame becomes smaller, a vector to the direction of an angle θ1 becomes smaller, too, the lower part of the red-hot matter is heatd and a heated zone is formed. The radiant heat from the red-hot matter 13 is used as radiant heating through a radiant window 9.
