Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the peeling of the sprayed material, and to hot repair the worn and dammaged brick, by spraying the mixture of many small metallic anchors and the spray material of MgO type against the converter brick so as drive the anchors into the converter brick. CONSTITUTION:The MgO type spray material 3 and the metallic anchors 6 of size smaller than 25mm charged respctively from the hoppers 5, 7, into the tank 4, and are mixed together. Next, the mixture is discharged from the lower gate 8, and is fed into the hose 10 by compressed air 9, and joints the water 12 supplied by the piping 13; then, the mixed material is sent out into the spray pipe 14. Next, the mixed material is sprayed upon the surface of the slag 2 on the converter brick 1, and the anchors 6 included in the MgO type spray material 3 are driven into the slag 2.
