Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a total heat exchanger which is used to ventilate a room while conducting a heat exchange operation and which is capable of preventing ions of metals, such as Ca and Mg and silicic acid in the water from being scattered into the room, by providing the heat exchanger with a humidifier opened into a discharge air passage in the heat exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: The water in a water tank 3 is atomized by a supersonic oscillator 2. The atomized water together with air from a suction port 4 flows through a duct 5 into an internal air suction port 7 so as to be subjected to heat exchange in a total heat exchanger 6. At this time, Ca and Mg are cooled to be separated from water, and water alone passes through a total heat exchange element 8 to be brought into contact with the air from the outside of the room. Thus, ions of metals, such as Ca and Mg and silicic acid contained in the atomization particles of water, which are generated by the supersonic humidifier, are completely separated from the atomized particles of water to be scattered to the outside. Accordingly, the metal ions and silicic acid are never scattered into the room.
