Abstract

PURPOSE: A stabilizer of bisphenol compound with specific structure that is added to polyurethane to prevent the yellowing caused by burning gases, and deterioration caused by light and oxidation.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I [R1, R2 are 1W4C alkyl, cyclohexyl; R3 is methylene, 2W10C alkylidene, thioether; R4 is 1W8C alkyl, phenyl, pyridyl (the phenyl and pyridyl groups may be substituted with 1W4C alkyl, 1W4C alkoxy or halogen)] as a compound of formula II or III is added to polyurethane by 0.5W 3.0wt%. The stabilizer is preferably added to the final product of polymerization.
