Abstract
PURPOSE:To make approximately uniform the outputs in the optical fibers of each optical fiber, without inserting an optical system between the light source and optical fiber bundle, by applying special arrangements to the array of a plurality of optical fibers in an optical fiber bonding part. CONSTITUTION:Optical fibers 3 are supported by a holding part 6 so that each end may contact with a virtual spherical plane 5 of radius R and that each optical axis may coincide in the normal direction of the spherical plane 5, thus forming a radial optical fiber bundle 7. In the central part of the spherical plane 5 is disposed a light source 1. Therefore, when the radiation pattern of the light source 4 is approximately uniform within the angle including these plural optical fibers 3, the photo outputs within optical fibers of the respective optical fibers 3 may be roughly uniform without having to insert an optical system between the light source 1 and radial optical fiber bundle 7, and the respective optical fibers 3 may be excited in a relatively low mode almost equally.
