Abstract

PURPOSE: To curtail cost of installation and also to shorten working hours by an arrangement wherein a liner is divided vertically in the middle of a packing and a water sealing tube and only the upper liner is made replaceable.
CONSTITUTION: A liner is divided into an upper liner 2A and a lower liner 2B in the middle of a packing 4 and a water sealing tube 6. Now, only the upper liner 2A is such part as is worn out from sliding with the packing 4, therefore only the upper liner 2A can be replaced. When replacing the upper liner 2A, a pressure fluid is fed in a coupling 7, a water sealing tube 6 is expanded thereby to press the liner 2B, the fluid is prevented from flowing out along the lower liner 2B, a packing box 3 and a packing 4 are disassembled, and then the upper liner 2A is replaced. It is therefore not necessary to provide a stop b in a flow passage C or to discharge the fluid in the passage C, thus facilitating the replacing work.
