Abstract
PURPOSE: The title composition capable of giving films having improved properties, with low odor, comprising (A) a water-dispersed polyester resin-modified vinyl resin, prepared by emulsion polymerization of a vinyl monomer mixture in the presence of a water-soluble unsaturated polyester resin as an emulsifying agent, and (B) an aminoplast resin dispersible or soluble in water.
CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising (A) a water-dispersed polyester resin- modified vinyl resin, prepared by emulsion polymerization of a vinyl monomer mixture of an aromatic vinyl monomer, a hydroxyalkyl ester of an α,β-monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, and an α,β-monoethylenically unsaturated monomer in the presence of a water-soluble unsaturated polyester resin obtained by neutralizing an unsaturated polyester resin from a hydrogenated phthalic acid (anhydride), an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, other carboxylic acids and a polyhydric alcohol, and (B) an aminoplast resin dispersible or soluble in water at a weight ratio of (A) to (B) of 60:95W40:5.
